The miniature Oval gear flow meters are ideal measuring oils, for hydraulic fluids, engine, Fuel, Diesel or lubrication oil, and are used for flow measurement and batching in engine test applications. 

The Oval Gear Flow meter uses two fine-toothed meshed gears that are oval in shape and engage each other in a precision machined body.

This fluid is transferred sequentially from the inlet to the outlet and one ore two pulses are transmitted for each revolution of the gear.

Embedded within the gear, a pair of chemically resistant magnets provide the external signals.

Detection of the rotation uses either a reed switch or a Hall effect sensor on the outside of the fluid housing.

A choice of materials, stainless steel 1.4435 (316 L) , PPS, PTFE /  allows the meters to be used in a variety of corrosive applications, for non corrosive we use coated aluminum.

The equipment is suitable for use in hazardous areas, and the basic meter is classed as simple apparatus, enabling use in monitoring flows of low viscosity hydrocarbons, fuels and solvents.

Oval Gear Flowmeters VZS-003 Series are avialible with connector protection class IP 65, cable, PLC-compatible digital signal output or Reed-contact. 

The  max. pressure is 30 bar and max temperature up 180 °C.

The oval gear flow meters VZS-003-VA Series can be delivered with a integrated temperature Sensor PT 100 / PT 1000.
